In 2003 Dave Brailsford took over British Cycling on a boring theory: find 1% everywhere and let it stack. They went on to win 16 Olympic golds.
Your habits now work that way. You still log one by tapping a chip on the fridge; now the day gets a score too, and the bar to beat is your own two-week trend plus 1%. Not yesterday, and not a number I picked.
Each habit now carries a little metadata: how often it is due, how much it counts for, whether skipping it is even a miss. More fields will arrive as real use cases ask for them.
